The Causes of Late Talking Children

This time the late talking children becomes a common problem that occure and indeed the case is increasingly from the year to year. Speaking becomes one of the basic human ability to be able communicate and comprehend the information. The capability to speak of the child is also a big influence in the intelligence. So it is very reasonable, if many parents are worried when their children had a speech delay.

In addition to the lack of stimulation, the late talking children can also be caused by some medical disorders, such as the anomalies in the child's mouth (oral motor), the palate and tongue too short so causing the tongue movement is hampered to produce the words.

The oral-motor disorder is also trigger the communication in the brain area which be on duty to produce the words are not efficient. The children in this case will be difficult to use and coordinate the tongue, lips, and jaw to say the words. Besides the late to talk, the children who have oral-motor disorders are usually also have difficulty to eat.

The next causes of the late talking children is because the hearing disorder. So it is very important when doing check of the growth, the pathologist will doing the hearing test at the first. The other cause is also suspected being the cause of late talking children is because the malnutrition since in the womb.

The child development trip especially the speech delay problems should be monitored because it is difficult to predicted. Every parent should assume that their children had a risk of this communication disorder so monitoring their growth actively. And if there is a problem as small as possible can be known and handled quickly by consult the physician expert.
