Professor Ali Baziad, the expert of the womb health from the faculty of medicine in Universitas Indonesia explains that there are some risks of doing the sexual intercourse during the menstrual period. One of the risks is endometriosis.
Endometriosis happens when the menstrual blood turn back into the womb, even to the other reproductive organs. It will make the menstrual blood becomes sticky and it will patch in the wrong place. It can cause a serious pain for the woman when getting the menstrual cycle or doing the sexual intercourse.
Endometriosis will create cyst that is very dangerous for the woman. Because it will make the woman becomes very difficult to get the pregnancy, and it will reduce the life quality. Doing the sexual intercourse during the menstrual period will create some infections. When we conduct the sexual intercourse it`s often to create a small injure in the woman`s genitals. Unsterile sperm or the men`s genital will make some infections.
Conducting the sexual intercourse in the menstrual period will more easily to create some injures. It happens because the woman`s estrogen hormone is decreased during the menstrual period. Therefore the lubrication liquid is also decreased. Therefore it will create uncomfortable sense of sexual intercourse.
The best time for conducting the sexual intercourse is in the 14th days after the menstruation because the clitoris will has a bigger size until 20% therefore it will be more sensitive to receive the stimulus. And it will be easily to get the orgasm. And if you won`t to get the pregnancy, it will be better for you to use the contraception.
