The Dangerous Influenza Symptoms in the Children

Influenza in the children is a common thing experienced by children. Usually influenza becomes symptom of the influenza disease. But it can also be caused by a dangerous thing like occurs a lungs infection. This is known based on the research is done to classify some of the factors that increase the risk of infection of the lungs.

The study was published in this Pediatrics journal is specializing for the infants and preschool children are infected with Rhinovirus. This virus is indeed the most common group of viruses that cause the Influenza in the children or infants.

In the early, the Rhinovirus is only expected can cause the symptom of regular influenza. But, from this recent research was found that this group of viruses can also causing the lungs infection are more serious such as pneumonia and bronchitis in the children.

The researchers from Brazil also did an analysis of data from 434 infants and children that did the examination to the doctors because the symptoms of respiratory disease. A small partly of them were infected the Rhinovirus, even the symptoms had been experienced them had reached at the medium to serious stages, such as sneezing, difficulty breathing, and a serious cough.

In fact, most of the infants and children also have the risk factor are the high respiratory infection, heart disease, and asthma. That cause the children are more susceptible the infection. This research shows the importance of parents to protect the children at the high risk who are susceptible a virus. That is by avoiding the people around who are sick of the Influenza  This also includes protecting them from the peers who are sick of the Influenza.

In this research not only was obtained 42% of the children were infected the Rhinovirus, but also were infected with other viruses. The most common other virus  is the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). This RSV virus is the cause of Influenza and also can trigger the inflammation in the bronci of the lungs. So, it causes the pneumonia and bronchiolitis, especially in the infants.

For the most children, usually the Rhinovirus infections are only causing the light symptoms like a Influenza. Whereas the RSV is either alone or with Rhinovirus can causing the more serious symptoms in the children.
