For those of you who sleep less each day will face the bigger consequences, other than the tiredness and hard to concentrate. Because based on the research, the sleep less habit in the long-term will increase the risk and became the cause of diabetes and obesity. In that research, the scientists found that apparently your sleep pattern influence on the blood sugar-content, the hormone that controls appetite, even the brain perception with foods containing high calories.

A small research published in The Annals of Internal Medicine journal was also conclude that lack of sleep also reduces the ability of fat cells to respond the insulin, the hormone that regulates the metabolism which triggers the occurrence of Diabetes.

Testing which is done by the method, the participants were asked to sleep 8 nights in a sleeping laboratory. During the first 4 nights they slept with the normal hours, and 4 hours of sleep the next nights they were bounded for 4.5 hours of sleep. And in fact, after 4 nights lacking of sleep, the insulin sensitivity of the respondents fell until 16%. For next the insulin ensitivity of fat cells down to 30% at the level which usually experienced by people suffer obesity or diabetes.

If the insulin resistance is often happen, then the excess of blood sugar and cholesterol will accumulate in the blood stream and will trigger the diabetes and heart disease. Lack of sleeping will give the body's stress response so there are the release of the cortisol hormone stress and neropinehrin, the hormone related to the insulin resistance in the body.
